This software scans your computer for installed software. This list is compared to a list on a server. After this it shows you more recent versions of your software if there are versions available. New versions are reported thru the client and compared between all software-uptodate users. The version numbers are automatically detected.

But do not install this software, it has many disadvantages:
- a very small database (only 53 000 applications)
- many applications are not recognized or shown as "not supported" (also very popular software like CCleaner)
- very basic user interface with less information than in Software Informer
- no way to update the software database on the server (like you have it here)

Conclusion:
Use Software Informer, it is much more powerful!
